The hype surrounding Apple Watch makes us forget for a moment that there are other smartwatches out there that are ready to go head-to-head with Apple Watch. Here is one: Pebble Time.
If you notice the maker, Pebble Technology, you might’ve guessed right: It’s the company that launched one of the most successful crowdfunding campaigns, raising over $10 million back in 2012: The Pebble E-Paper Watch for iPhone and Android.
Some would think that it’s just a one-time success. Well, if you are one of them, think again: In mid-2015, Pebble Technology will launch yet another line of smartwatches that are more stylish and powerful, Pebble Time.
The new line features a new, revolutionary timeline interface, 7-day of battery life, water resistance, light weight and ergonomic design, and a range of customization possibilities. Pebble Time also introduces a ‘premium’ version of it, the Pebble Time Steel.
It’s also launched on Kickstarter, and so far (17 days to go) it has raised over $17 million – even a more successful launch than Pebble’s first project.
