99 Percent of People Don’t Market in The Year That We are Actually Live In

Gary Vaynerchuk recent talk in Canadian Music Week Digital Media Summit in Toronto is inspiring, as usual.

In this keynote, Gary Vaynerchuk talks about how the consumers changed over the decades and why marketers should focus on human behaviors, instead of other things. This is perhaps the most interesting keynote I’ve ever watched.

Some great insights offered by Mr. Vaynerchuk – here are some interesting statements from the keynote:

  • 99 percent of people don’t market in the year that we are actually live in
  • Facebook Dark posts offer the best conversion rate ever seen since Google AdWords’ in 1999/2000.
  • We are competing for our target market’s attention – and they are declining due to loads of stuffs competing for their attention.
  • “Generation youth-ification” happens today: Facebook’s most active user base is over 40-60 years old. The largest demographic of selfie-takers? Women, age 40.
