How Arnold Schwarzenegger Conditioned His Mind for Greatness

How Arnold Schwarzenegger Conditioned His Mind for Greatness

This man has one of the most amazingly conditioned brains ever:

His unwavering discipline and never-say-can’t attitude has sure taken him a long way in life. While there are others who’ve had to fight harder to get certain places, I think it’s safe to say that Arnold is the type of man who really doesn’t have a doubting bone in his body when it comes to what can be achieved.

In his book “Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story” Arnold gives a lot of credit to his father, who always insisted that he and his brother earn their meals by doing chores or even exercises (like 100 situps for instance). His father was a former soldier in the Austrian army during WWII, a policeman, and a very stern man. He began instilling the idea that you have to earn everything and work damn hard to get it in Arnold at an early age.

It’s best to start young, but there is always enough time to change if you want to. Depending on which source you subscribe to, it takes anywhere from 21 – 67 days to form a new habit and erase the old.

Hopefully we can all learn a little something from Arnold Schwarzenegger about not listening to naysayers and critics, and of course about hard work and determination!

I can’t recommend his biography enough. It’s one of the best (and longest) I’ve ever read and a true inspiration.
