Embrace’s Jane Chen Innovates from the Heart to Save One Million Babies

Ms. Chen is a young social entrepreneur with a dream to save one million babies by inventing a baby warmer called Embrace, the brainchild of Ms. Chen and her colleagues at Stanford.

The challenge Ms. Chen wants to tackle is to create a baby warmer that costs less than one percent of the traditional baby incubator – to make baby warmers affordable and accessible in third world countries.

Embrace might very well be the answer because it’s portable, doesn’t require much electricity, and very affordable.

Embrace saves thousands of babies’ life all over the world – and attempt to change the world’s life – one baby’s life at a time.

Ms. Chen shares a wonderful quote on leadership:

“If you can be authentic and true to yourself, that’s when you’re at your best, and that’s when you’re going to be the best leader.”
