This commercial is a genius move from Lincoln. Since soccer moms are their obvious targets for the MKC, it’s not shocking that Matthew McConaughey is their star endorser. Not to mention the entire premise of the commercial has a dual appeal to the “male matador” that exists in all men.
This commercial has been making some heavy headlines for the last month, which is obviously great if you’re Ford Motor Company fighting for traction in a luxury compact SUV market that currently favors foreign-made favorites like the Porsche Macan, Infiniti QX50, and BMW X3!
Gotta love the opening line from McConaughey: “Attsssa big buwwwlll” — delivered with every bit of his unique southern Texas drawl.
