If achieving goals in life is important to you, watch this video to hear former Bronco’s Running Back and current motivational speaker and TV personality, Reggie Rivers talk about his unconventional mindset for achievement in life.
Interesting perspective right?
The actual goals we’re striving toward are outside our control, yet our behavior isn’t — nor is how we feel about ourselves: the way we look, the way junkfood makes us feel, the way we react to the boss yelling at us, or our kids being overly energetic/rude/defiant, etc.
I liked his analogy about getting A’s in school. How you can work as hard as you can to get perfect grades, but you still need to get past the gate-keeper: i.e., the teacher.
Reggies unique outlook is a different spin on achievement than than the typical “just do it” mentality.
Hope this helps someone today.
